Anejo Cantina Serves Up Authentic Mexican in Sherman Oaks

One of the best parts about living in Los Angeles is the prevalence of Mexican food. While the small taco joints hold it down, every now and then it’s nice to have a more upscale dinner and some flaming margaritas. Enter Anejo Cantina & Grill.

Located in the heart of Sherman Oaks, the comfortable wrap-around patio is perfect for outdoor year round dining. The drink menu is extensive and the portions are grande. I wanted to try a few things so I ordered a combination and this is what came out after my salad.

Let’s just say I had flautas for breakfast and enchiladas for lunch the following day. The menu has a lot of variety and the food is well made with very friendly service. Take home leftovers and for dessert try the deep fried ice cream.

There is a daily happy hour from 4-7 in the bar and live mariachi and flamenco music on Fridays and Saturdays. If you need to brush up on your dance skills, Salsa & Bachata classes are offered on Tuesday evenings.
